Our Mission

The Art Center is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion through exceptional arts programming, enhancing the quality of life for those in our community.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a vibrant, inclusive cultural arts center inspiring and delivering life-long art education experiences.

Our History

The Arts Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was founded in 1996 as the Warsaw-Ocee Arts Center with the purpose of providing arts services to audiences in north Fulton County. The organization changed its name to the Johns Creek Arts Center in 2006 and in 2024 we have become The Art Center. Today The Art Center at Johns Creek boasts an outstanding ceramic studio, multiple fine arts classrooms, and instruction in a wide variety of visual media.

TAC also has an expansive outreach program that conducts classes and workshops in more than a dozen locations in surrounding communities. Our involvement in the community has increased significantly by engaging the divers ethnicities that make up our community, working collaboratively with other local non-profits. Through multiple outreach initiatives, we demonstrate our steadfast commitment to ensuring that all, especially those from the most conventionally neglected and excluded segments of our population, have access to quality arts programming.

The Arts Center has been recognized by the Georgia Senate, House of Representatives, Fulton County Board of Commissioners, and the City of Johns Creek for our commitment to the community. We are the second busiest arts center in Georgia in terms of programming, and one of only five Legacy partners in Fulton County. Visit our Proclamations & Awards page for more information.

Key components in the implementation of our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan include reducing our environmental imprint and promoting wellness through involvement in the arts.

“Excellent place with caring and talented instructors. This was the first time my 12 year old son attended camp. He chose the pottery wheel class and had so much fun all week long. Many of the students are planning to go back for the same week next summer. He learned how to make his own pieces and glaze them. I highly suggest checking this place out.”- Summer 2023 – yelp

Summer 2022

“Wilson and Joye had so much fun a the JC Arts Center Summer Camp.  Thank you so much to you and your team for providing such a wonderful art program to our community!”

Truly grateful to you and all of the staff. You guys provide much more than an art center for some of us. It is a wonderful place to spend time using our creativity and providing a place to recharge.  Way cheaper than therapy. Thank you so very much for all that you do!!”
