I. Fall 2) Kate N Wed PM Clay Sculpture

Service Description

This ALL LEVEL sculpting class will focus on the students individual observations of shapes, textures, and colors that make up the world around us and how to interpret them through clay. We will use the basics of handbuilding (coil, pinch, slab) as well as carving and other surface techniques to add depth and quality. This class is not project based, students will choose to work on a fun or functional sculpture and are encouraged to bring their ideas and open minds! Included in the price of your class is a 25lb bag of clay. Open studio hours will begin at 4pm on the day of your class. Students must provide their own basic tool set. Kemper Pottery tool kits can be purchased at most Dick Blick and Michael's stores.

Cancellation Policy

1. The Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes or camps due to insufficient enrollment. If The Art Center cancels a class or camp, registrants will receive a refund. We reserve the right to substitute an instructor if necessary. 2. The Art Center does not pro-rate class or camp fees. 3. Membership fees are non-refundable. 4. Four business days notice must be given before the start of the first class if you wish to cancel. 5. Registration changes and cancellations will incur an administrative fee of $30. 6. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the 1st day of the start of class. 6a. For high demand classes: if you cancel your registration and vacate your seat, we will retain 50% of your initial registration fee to pay the instructor, if the seat cannot be filled. This is in addition to the $30 administration fee. 7. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the beginning of the class or camp.
